When a phone rang from friends from Holešov on Monday morning that a local charity had published a demand on social networks for the production of protective face masks due to the spread of coronavirus, we did not hesitate and started sewing. We do not refuse any opportunity to help even if it is only a little we can do. With a slight critical view of the initial wave of information that face masks can help us, we did not expect a week full of face mask production for the locals – from charity workers, through postal officials to hospitals, family, friends and casual passers-by. We thank the Czech Post for sending free shipments containing face masks. We could help people from all over, not only from the Zlín region.
For a long time we sewed face masks for free for those who needed it. Now we must save ourselves and the people around us in this difficult situation. You have been enquiring for a while about whether our black face masks will be available. So they are here in two variants. The first variant is in the shape of a mask and the second is a one-layer “summer variant”.
We decided to contact the local seamstresses, whose income is limited these days. The price of the face mask corresponds to our costs. The mask is made of 100% cotton, it can be boiled or ironed with a steam iron (the sewn label is however synthetic, be careful when ironing ) And please keep in mind that the face mask DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS.
